Welcome to Endoscopy @ UCSF

This website is presently for adult patients only.

Our state-of-the-art endoscopy units at UCSF continue to expand to meet the growing demand of patients needing a variety of tests to examine and treat their digestive tract.

We care for approximately 12,000 patients a year, which is predicted to increase.

You can be referred to us for conditions such as anemia, colitis, Crohn's disease, ulcers, esophagitis, cancer of the digestive tract, rectal bleeding, gallstones, liver disease and more.

We work at three sites: Parnassus Heights, Mount Zion, and Mission Bay.

We are a day case, tertiary referral center that treats outpatients, inpatients and transfers from other hospitals in Northern California.  We accomodate patients for planned gastrointestinal, urgent and emergency therapeutic procedures under sedation and anesthesia.
